Man Killed After Bike Crashes Into Car On Gandy Boulevard During Health Issue: Police
All eastbound lanes of Gandy Boulevard were closed Sunday morning following a motorcycle fatality that involved a man who had health issues.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A motorcycle driven by a 73-year-old man crashed into a car as he had a medical issue that killed him Sunday morning, according to St. Petersburg police.
He drove eastbound on Gandy Boulevard near the Interstate-275 exit at about 10:30 a.m., authorities said. He lost control of his bike in that area as he had a medical emergency, according to investigators. The bike then crashed into a Honda Civic. He died shortly afterward at a local hospital, deputies said.
No one else experienced injuries in the crash. Authorities had all lanes of Gandy Boulevard closed for several hours following the crash.

The name of the victim will not be released until next of kin is notified, detectives said.
