1 Killed In Fire In St. Petersburg: Police

The fire occurred near the intersection of 10th Avenue and 17th Street North in St. Petersburg early Saturday.

ST. PETERSBURG, FLORIDA — One person was killed in an early morning fire in St. Petersburg.

St. Petersburg Fire Rescue crews were called to the two-story, wood-frame structureat about 1 a.m. near the intersection of 10th Avenue and 17th Street North, according to St. Petersburg Fire Rescue. When fire crews arrived, they found the building was fully engulfed in flames.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene, and two other adults, who were not injured, were able to safely get out, according to fire officials.
