19-Year-Old Dead After Driving Electric Bike Into Truck Towing Trailer: St. Pete Police
A 19-year-old Seminole man died days after crashing his electric bicycle into the side of a trailer being towed by a truck, St. Pete police
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A 19-year-old Seminole man on an electric bicycle died days after crashing into a truck pulling a lawn trailer, St. Petersburg police said in a news release.
Caidyn Knuth of Seminole was riding his bike south on Hartford Street North approaching 32nd Avenue North just after 6 p.m. on Oct. 15.
He crashed into the side of the trailer being towed by a Ford F-150 that was heading east on 32nd Avenue and approaching Hartford Street North, according to police.

Knuth was thrown from his bike and brought to the hospital with serious injuries. He died from his injuries on Saturday at Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital, police said.
The truck’s driver, Charles Billue, 44, of St. Petersburg remained at the scene of the crash and cooperated with the investigation.
