$45 Million Expected For St. Pete Through American Rescue Act
Residents of St. Petersburg can give feedback to the city about where to prioritize more than $40 million given from President Joe Biden.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Forty-five million dollars is expected to be given to the city of St. Petersburg from President Joe Biden's American Rescue Plan Act, a city news release said.
The American Rescue Plan is delivering direct relief to the American people, rescuing the American economy, and starting to beat the virus, the White House said.
Infrastructure, housing affordability, leisure services, public safety, transportation, health equity, economic development and resilience & sustainability are the eight areas of impact eligible for the funds, according to the city. A few in-person workshops that community members can share their feedback of the prioritization of funds is scheduled toward the end of the month:

Registration is required to participate. A recording of the presentations and online form is available for those interested in participating, but are unable to attend the in-person workshop dates. The online form will be available after the conclusion of the first workshop by Tuesday, July 27.
According to the White House's website, the Plan can offer financial assistance to small businesses in need, Emergency Rental Assistance Programs, health care coverage, grocery purchases and more.
