Check the Hummus in your Refrigerator, it Could be Part of an Allergy Recall
A company that produces hummus has voluntarily recalled its organic mediterranean dip because containers could have certain nuts.
FLORIDA — Double check the hummus in your refrigerator following a recall from Cedar's Mediterranean Foods Wednesday, the Food & Drug Administration said.
An allergy alert has been issued on undeclared pine nut in 10 ounces of organic mediterranean hummus produced by Cedar's Mediterranean Foods. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to tree nuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products, according to the FDA.
Twenty three states, including Florida, received the product. The Cedar’s Organic Mediterranean Hummus is packaged in a 10 ounce plastic container, with a UPC Code: 044115403028. It is a refrigerated product with a Sell by Date DEC 12, 2021 (32I21). (Sell by Date and Batch code information can be found printed on containers lid.)

Cedar’s initiated the recall when it was discovered that a mislabeled container failed to scan at the point of sale, corporation officials said.
No illnesses have been confirmed to date, the FDA said.
