Video: Armed Robber Tied Up St. Pete Restaurant Employees
Surveillance video from the Wood Fire Pizza Restaurant in St. Pete shows a man pointing a knife at two employees he tied up, police say.
St. Petersburg Police are searching the a man wanted for tying up two restaurant employees and robbing the business, according to a press release.
According to police, two employess were working after closing time at the Wood Fire Pizza at 344 First Ave S. on Sunday, March 24.
Police say while one employee went outside to empty the trash, he was approached by a man who punched him in the face, threatened him with a butcher knife and then tied his hands with zip ties.

The suspect made his way into the office where he confronted a second employee, threatened her and used zip ties to bind her hands as well, police say.
The suspect then took the night's receipts that were lying on the office desk and fled the business, according to the press release.

The suspect was described as being in his 20's, approximately 5'10", 130 lbs.,
with a pockmarked/acne face, wearing a dark hoodie and was possibly riding a
bicycle, police say.
Detectives have released security video taken from inside and are asking for
the public's assistance in helping to identify the suspect in this case.
They are asking anyone with information to call the St. Petersburg Police at
