Arrest Made In Fatal Stabbing

St. Petersburg Police say an argument between two men took a deadly turn Monday night.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — The St. Petersburg Police Department is investigating a Monday night stabbing that left a 22-year-old man dead. Another man faces first-degree murder charges in the case.

According to the agency, Thomas Peruchi, 23, drove to Trevor Scott’s home in the 900 block of 45th Street North around 7 p.m. Feb. 27. Once there, detectives say Scott got into Peruchi’s car where the two men, who knew each other, proceeded to get into a fight.

Peruchi is accused of ending that fight by stabbing Scott, according to an email from the police department. Scott was able to get out of the car and call for help. He was taken to Bayfront Health, but later died from his injuries, police said.
