Best Thing I Ate This Week: Soup & Salad from Ceviche

Ceviche's Pincho Bar is known for its tapas, but I tried something different and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Lunch time in downtown St. Petersburg can be quite hectic. It’s business as usual for local restaurants. A lot of city workers in the area frequent venues within walking distance.

As I strolled along Central Avenue, I had no desire to fight the crowds at the many establishments on the block. Then, like a cartoon, a light bulb lit up over my head. “,” I thought. I only ever go there for breakfast or dinner and I was interested to see what they served up for lunch.

The lunch menu is filled with some of the restaurants most loved plates. I decided on the soup and salad, only because it was new to me.

A salad bearing lettuce, two large tomato wedges, olives and parmesan cheese was a nice way to get my appetite going. A tasty vinaigrette dressing was layered perfectly into the salad.

The black bean soup was complete with white rice, chopped onion and a dollop of sour cream. This happened to be my favorite part of the meal.
