FL Man Accused Of Sexually Battering Boy; Both Tested Positive For HIV
A Clearwater man admitted to sexually battering an 8-year-old boy in the St. Pete area, the sheriff said. Both tested positive for HIV.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A Clearwater man accused of sexually battering a boy was arrested on Saturday, according to a Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office news release.
Both the suspect and the victim tested positive for HIV.
Bobby McAffee, 62, was charged with one count of sexual battery of a child less than 12 years old.

Detectives began their investigation into the incident on Aug. 23 when the victim reported a sexual battery that happened in unincorporated St. Petersburg when he was 8 years old.
McAffee pinned the victim down on the ground, held both of his arms above his head and sexually battered him, the sheriff’s office said.

He admitted on Friday to having sexual contact with the boy and said that he tested positive for HIV.
The victim recently learned that he is also HIV positive
McAffee was booked into the Pinellas County Jail.
