Floyd’s 99 Barbershop Opens At St. Pete’s Moxy Hotel In Edge District

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Floyd’s 99 Barbershop recently opened at the new Moxy by Marriott Hotel at 1234-1246 Central Ave. as part of the Edge Collective in St. Petersburg’s Edge District, according to a news release from PTM Partners and Dovehill Capital Management.

PTM is a real estate investment, management, and development firm with projects across Florida and the Washington, D.C. area, while DoveHill is a Fort Lauderdale-based vertically integrated hospitality investment organization.

Floyd’s, which has 135 locations nationwide, plans to open more than 15 shops throughout the Tampa Bay area over the coming years.

The St. Petersburg location spans 1,265 square feet on the ground floor of the 1.6-acre Moxy Hotel. It’s open to both hotel guests and the public.

In addition to the Moxy Hotel, the Edge Collective includes the redevelopment and modernization of the 110-year-old 1246 Central Avenue building with 8,000 square feet of ground-floor food and beverage outlets and 16,000 square feet of office space.

PTM also announced the Edge Collective Phase II, which includes a 500,000-square foot mixed-use destination.

Floyd’s owner and franchisee, Stephanie Noyes, said, “We are excited and proud to provide amplified Floyd’s 99 Barbershop experiences in the Edge District. Our music-themed shop fits perfectly with the culture and diversity of the Moxy and the region.”

The Noyes family holds exclusive franchise development rights for Floyd’s 99 Barbership in the Tampa Bay area. Their first shop opened in Clearwater in October 2023.
