Gandy Boulevard Detours Announced
Motorists who use Gandy Boulevard will face some detours over the next few evenings.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Motorists who use Gandy Boulevard in their commutes will want to prepare for a few detours over the next few days. The Florida Department of Transportation announced on Monday the contractor responsible for the Gandy Boulevard Project has work planned that will demand some rerouting of traffic.
According to FDOT, detour routes will be denoted by signs. The following detour information has been announced:

Work activities related to the project will take place on north- and southbound Ninth Street from 94th Avenue to eastbound Gandy Boulevard. Detours will be in place from 10:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. from westbound Gandy Boulevard.
The following detours are recommended:

- Northbound Ninth Street – Traffic will turn right at 94th Avenue, left at northbound Fourth Street, left at westbound Gandy and right at northbound Ninth Street.
- Southbound Ninth Street – Traffic will turn left from eastbound Gandy, right onto southbound Fourth Street, right at 94th Avenue and left back onto southbound Ninth Street.
May 3-4
Work activities are scheduled to take place on westbound Gandy from Ninth Street to 16th Street. The contractor intends to detour traffic from northbound Fourth Street and southbound Fourth Street between 10:30 p.m. and 6 a.m.
The following detours are recommended:
- Northbound Fourth Street – Traffic will turn left at 94th Avenue, right on northbound Ninth Street, right at eastbound 110th Avenue and left back onto northbound Fourth Street.
- Southbound Fourth Street – Traffic will turn right onto westbound Gandy Boulevard, left at southbound Ninth Street, left at eastbound Gandy and right back onto southbound Fourth Street.
May 5
Work activities on this evening will take place along Roosevelt Boulevard. The contractor intends to detour traffic from southbound Roosevelt between 10:30 p.m. and 6 a.m.
The following detour will be put into place:
- Southbound Roosevelt – Traffic will turn right at westbound Gandy, left at southbound Ninth Street, left at eastbound Gandy and back right onto southbound Fourth Street.
