Gladys Knight Bedazzles a Full House

On Friday night at the Mahaffey Theater, fans filled the venue for Knight's performance.

Best known for her soulful charm and natural ability, Gladys Knight can do it all. She’s an actress, author, singer and songwriter; not to mention her humanitarian side. At 67 years young, Knight is not showing any signs of slowing down.

Knight helped form the pop group Gladys Knight and the Pips. Motown signed the group in ‘66 and from there, Gladys Knight and the Pips established a name. Tuness like “If I Were Your Woman” and “Daddy Could Swear” solidified Knight’s status in the music industry.

Friday night’s concert at the Mahaffey Theater was a showcase of Knight’s most beloved melodies; from the number one, Grammy winning hit “That’s What Friends Are For” to the R&B jam “Men.”
