Harold Seltzer’s Steakhouse Closing St. Pete Restaurant
Harold Seltzer's Steakhouse is closing its last remaining restaurant, which is in St. Petersburg's Tyrone area, by the end of the month.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Harold Seltzer’s Steakhouse is closing its last remaining location by the end of the month in St. Petersburg, according to a post by Seltzer to the restaurant’s Facebook page.
The restaurant’s property at 3500 Tyrone Blvd. was sold and shut its doors for good Sept. 29, Seltzer said. It opened 2000 as Sam Seltzer’s and has been Harold Seltzer’s since 2010.
The property will become a Dignity Memorial-branded celebration of life center.

“I am joyful that I will no longer be working 60+ hours each week and will have the opportunity to spend more time with my wife, children and grandchildren,” wrote Seltzer, who plans to retire. “I am sad because it has been a labor of love since 1995 when I opened our first Sam Seltzer’s in Tampa. I will truly miss our wonderful and dedicated employees, several of whom have been with me for many years. I will also truly miss serving YOU, our wonderful and loyal customers. Many of you have become like ‘family’ over the years, having celebrated birthdays, date nights, engagements, weddings, funerals, holiday parties, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day Father’s Day, Thanksgiving, and enjoyed just ‘every day’ great times and great meals with us for almost 30 years.”
Starting Sept. 9, the restaurant is offering a complimentary Napoleon for every two adult meals purchased until it closes later this month.

The company closed its Port Richey location at the Gulf View Square Mall on May 19. That restaurant opened in 2002 as Sam’s before becoming Harold Seltzer's in 2010.
