'Underwater' Exhibit Draws Bay Area Support

On Friday night, artist Hunter Payne premiered his exhibit at the Studio@620 for friends, fans and art enthusiasts.

Hunter Payne is no stranger to creative genius. He and business partner, Reuben Pressman, came up with before even finishing college.

For Hunter's first solo venture, he decided to quit college (just shy of a Bachelor's) and his job to pursue an idea he conjured up: drawing underwater. Payne created a sales pitch online to raise money for the project. He exceeded his goal of $1,000 to put the plan into action.

Payne traveled south to the Florida Keys where he drew for hours on end, completely underwater. The money he raised paid for his snorkeling gear, a camera, art supplies and transportation.
