FL Man Accused Of Stalking, Attacking Ex-Girlfriend In Apartment Parking Lot
A man who drove from his home in Pasco County to attack his ex-girlfriend outside her St. Petersburg apartment was arrested, police said.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A 27-year-old man was arrested after attacking his ex-girlfriend in an apartment parking lot earlier this month, St. Petersburg police said.
Peter Guirguis was charged with attempted first-degree homicide and aggravated stalking.
He went to his ex-girlfriend’s home at the Gateway Isles Apartments on 4th Street N. on May 10 just before 2 a.m.

Guirguis attacked her in the parking lot, causing a serious head injury and hospitalization, police said.
The couple had a history of domestic violence, and the victim had an active injunction against Guirguis.

Detectives “have been working nonstop” to gather evidence against him since the attack, police said. He was arrested Monday just before midnight.

St. Petersburg detectives, along with the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, took Guirguis into custody at his home in Trinity.
He was transferred from the Pasco County Jail to the Pinellas County Jail to face the charges.
