1 Killed In Argument Over Weekend Behind Empty Business Building: Police

St. Pete detectives investigated a fatal shooting over the weekend that left one person dead near the Haines Road area.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A 49-year-old man St. Petersburg man has been accused of killing a 30-year-old victim early Sunday morning behind a business, St. Pete police said.

Robert James Deladurantaye and Christopher Estrada had gotten into an argument prior to the shooting, investigators said. The men had been arguing throughout Saturday night. More arguing continued into Sunday morning. Deladurantaye is accused of shooting Estrada behind a building on the 4600 block of Haines Road North, St. Petersburg, just before 3:16 a.m., investigators said.

A coroner pronounced Estrada dead at the location, authorities said.

Detectives said Deladurantaye faces charges of second degree murder.
