Man Pulled Out Gun During Downtown St. Pete Brawl: Police
The suspect threw a gun and a bag of cocaine into a construction site while running from a brawl on Central Avenue, St. Pete police said.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A man who pulled out a gun during a Monday night brawl in downtown St. Petersburg faces multiple charges, authorities said.
Officers responded to Central Avenue near 5th Street around 8:15 p.m. for reports of a man involved in a brawl pointing a gun at someone, St. Petersburg police said.
As they arrived, the suspect, Afrim Mema, 32, ran from the scene and threw the gun and a bag of drugs into a nearby construction area. The bag contained 34.5 grams of cocaine.

After a pursuit, Mema was taken into custody and he kicked an officer who tried to interview him, police said.
He was charged with possession of a firearm during a felony, trafficking in cocaine and battery on a law enforcement officer, all felonies.
