Man Who Killed St. Pete Victim Found In New York: Police
A suspect who shot and killed a St. Pete man in early April was recently arrested on second-degree murder charges by U.S. marshals.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A 21-year-old suspect who is accused of killing 31-year-old Tedarrell Davenport April 10 has recently been arrested on second-degree murder charges in Syracuse, New York, St. Pete police said.
April 10, shortly after 1 p.m., the victim's body was lying near a vehicle at the intersection of Freemont Terrace South and 32nd Street South, according to investigators. Davenport had been shot. Detectives said that the suspect, Derrick Pride Jr., and Davenport knew each other, and the shooting wasn't random.
Pride was arrested by U.S. marshals in New York, officers said. St. Pete Police detectives flew to Syracuse to interview Pride. According to authorities, he will eventually be flown back to Pinellas County to face charges.
