This gem and mineral show takes place Friday through Sunday at the Strawberry Festival Grounds in Plant City. The event features fine jewelry, jewelry mountings, loose gemstones, mineral specimens, beads and more.

SPCA Florida “Run for Their Lives” 5K

This 5K race, a fundraiser for SPCA Florida, takes place Saturday, 7 a.m., at Lakeland’s Peterson Park.

Family Art Day

Creative Liberties in Sarasota hosts this free intergenerational art-making opportunity for families on Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to noon. Children and their adults will create an art project together led by Creative Liberties studio artist Yvonne Krystman. All supplies are included, and projects are geared to be enjoyed by all age groups and all skill levels.

Day of Play: Family Festival

Stop by Floridarama in S. Petersburg on Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., for a day filled with family fun including art, crafts, games, food, music and market vendors presented in collaboration with Sunshine City With Kids. Festival admission is $5.

Outside In: New Murals Inspired By Dalí

From Saturday through Oct. 26, experience the celebration of SHINE St. Petersburg Mural Festival’s 10-year anniversary, Outside In: New Murals Inspired by Dalí brings the vibrant world of street art into The Dalí Museum. This unique exhibition invites both current and past SHINE artists to create dynamic murals within the Museum’s gallery, inspired by the surreal genius of Salvador Dalí, his collection and the iconic architecture of the museum itself.

Memorial Day Events:

Fingerboard Bonanza

The Fingerboard Bonanza, set for Saturday, noon to 4 p.m., at Providence Skate Park in Riverview, will be an opportunity for fellow finger boarders or interested skateboarders to come together and participate in a community get together with contests, food, and raffles. This event will serve as a chance to showcase finger boarding skills for prizes. There will be a variety of finger board parks and obstacles.

Romantasy Genre Party

Join other adult fans of the romantasy book genre on Saturday, 3 to 4:30 p.m., at the Seminole Heights Branch Library in Tampa. Create origami fortune tellers, Black Out Poetry, and engage in several short writing challenges designed to spark laughter and entice the imagination.

Decades by the Dock Concert

Coachman Park presents Decades by the Docks, a free live music event featuring Shake it Up (tribute to the Cars) and Jaded (Aerosmith tribute) on Saturday, 6 to 10 p.m. Other activities include a video game truck, glow-in-the-dark activities and giant Twister.

A Journey Through Multiverseland

Tour St. Petersburg’s “intergalactic mini theme park” Multiverseland Saturday at 7 p.m.

St. Pete Food Truck Festival

Dozens of the Tampa Bay area's best food trucks will take over 3 Daughters Brewing Sunday, starting at noon, and dishing up incredible eats all day long. From giant burgers and loaded cheese fries to tantalizing desserts and hand-tossed pizzas, there will be something for everybody.

Mx. St. Pete Pride Pageant

The Mx. St Pete Pride Pageant, set for Sunday, 5 to 11 p.m., at the Palladium, is St Pete Pride’s annual contest to select the Mr., Miss and Mx. winners for the 2025 Pride season.

Tampa Roller Derby 20th Anniversary Game

Join Tampa Roller Derby as the league celebrates 20 years of jams, hits and derby domination! The anniversary bout and party takes place Sunday, 8 p.m., at Skateworld of Tampa.
