St. Pete's Mystery Girl Identified
A girl found wandering in St. Petersburg on Tuesday has been identified by her family.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — The St. Petersburg Police Department announced just before 5 p.m. April 25 that a young girl found wandering in the area of 45th Avenue North and Third Street earlier in the day had been identified. The girl is 17 years old, the agency reported, and has been living with her father in St. Petersburg.
"Her mother saw our Facebook post and contacted us with her identity," an email from the police department said. "Her father is en route to the hospital."
Further information about the girl, including her name, is not being released.

The girl was found just before 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. When police found her, she was lost, confused and "did not know her name, an earlier email from the agency said.

The girl was taken to a local hospital for a medical evaluation, the agency said. Further information, including what may have caused her confusion, is not being released at this time.
