Police Arrest Suspect In Man's Death At St. Petersburg Home
The suspect faces charges of murder in the first degree and attempted murder in the first degree for the attack on the man and his sister
ST. PETERSBURG, FL - St. Petersburg police arrested a suspect in the death of a 68-year-old man and the beating of his sister. Police found the body of Paul Dumas and his sister, 63-year-old Elaine Vidinha, who was severely injured. Police received a call for help from the residence at 4245 Elkcam Blvd. about 7:20 a.m. Monday. Vidinha was taken to Bayfront Hospital in critical, but stable condition.
Otis J.Henderson, 44, was arrested about 11:44 a.m. Tuesday after a call for service near 15th Avenue and MLK Street. He now faces one count of murder in the first degree and one count of attempted murder in the first degree for the attack on Dumas and Vidinha.
