Poll: Pay For New Rays Stadium, Clearwater Aquarium or Beach Renourishment?
Results from a scientific phone survey asks registered voters about a new Rays baseball stadium, fluoride in your water and a light rail system in Pinellas County.

Forty percent of voters polled would rather use existing hotel bed tax income to pay for beach nourishment, according to St.PetePolls.
3,812 registered voters in Pinellas County were questioned in the phone survey on April 1st by St.PetePolls.
People were asked, "Would you rather use existing hotel bed tax income to build a new Rays Baseball stadium, build a new Clearwater Aquarium, or for Gulf Beach Renourishment?"

Here are the results:
- New Rays Stadium: 23.8%
- New Clearwater Aquarium: 22.0%
- Beach Renourishment: 40.6%
- Unsure: 13.5%
When asked if people support the Pinellas County Commission's decision to put flouride back into the water, people replied: 64.2% yes, 25.6% no and 10.1% were unsure.

More than 48% of people polled think Pinellas County needs a light rail system. 41.9% do not and 9.2% answered unsure.
When asked if people supported consolidating local fire departments with the county, 44.8% said yes, 35% said no and 20.2% responded "unsure".
When asked if people supported consolidating local police departments with the county, 44.9% responded yes, 38.4% said no and 16.8% were unsure.
