The Rays Salute Military, First Responder and Teacher Services

The Salute to Service Program has returned to the Tropicana Field this regular season, offering complimentary tickets to eligible heroes.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Active duty military, veterans, teachers and first providers can receive two complimentary Tampa Bay Rays' game tickets to the upcoming Baltimore Orioles game through the Salute to Service program.

“Our organization is dedicated to supporting the people who serve and enrich our communities,” Rays' President Brian Auld said. “This program is another way that we can share the magic of Rays baseball and show our continued gratitude to these important people.”

Those qualified for the Salute to Service Program, presented by Jabil Inc., can receive complimentary tickets for select regular season home games, and discounted opportunities for others, a news release said.

The first game this season that our local heroes can take advantage of free tickets is Monday, July 19, at the Tropicana Field. Eligible fans can begin claiming tickets for that game now. To participate, eligible fans will need to be verified by ID.me, a third-party, MLB-approved verification service, at RaysBaseball.com/Military, RaysBaseball.com/Teachers or RaysBaseball.com/FirstResponders. Fans who register will receive emails about future opportunities for complimentary or discounted tickets approximately one week before other eligible games.

“Jabil has a long history of supporting those who serve the Tampa Bay community, and we are excited to be the presenting partner for the Rays Salute to Service program,” LaShawne Meriwether, Jabil’s vice president of talent, diversity and community, said.

Qualified veterans are those who were honorably discharged from service or retired.

All tickets are mobile-only and can be accessed on the MLB Ballpark app. Fans can choose their own seats in the Lower Reserved area or the GTE Financial Party Deck.
