Ron Jeremy Helps Welcome Downtown St. Pete's Newest Karaoke Bar

A brand new karaoke bar called Octave opened its doors for the first time on Friday night on the 600 block of Central Avenue.

A new bar in town has taken over an open space on the 600 block. The venue was most recently occupied by Durty Nelly's before their move to 1st Avenue N.

Octave is the name and karaoke is their game.

A welcoming staff scurried around the establishment on Friday. It was the day of their soft opening. What's more? Ron Jeremy would be in attendance. The comedian, reality and adult film star was set to sign autographs and take photos from 4-6 p.m. on Friday.

Around 4:15, a black limo pulled up and Jeremy emerged. Wearing crocs, sweat pants he made his way into Octave.

Jeremy signed bottles of his self-titled rum (Ron De Jeremy) for fans, posed for photos and even served drinks to locals.

Octave will host a grand opening on March 10. Friday served as a soft welcoming to "The Block." The new addition dubs itself a live music venue and karaoke bar.
