St. Pete Boat Parade Canceled; 2 Others Will Be Held Tonight
The Rotary Club of St. Petersburg announced that it will not host its lighted boat parade because of a small craft advisory.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL - A boat parade scheduled for Saturday night has been canceled because of the weather, but two others will be held, according to organizers. The Rotary Club of St. Petersburg announced on its Facebook page that it will not host the 31st annual St. Petersburg's Illuminated Boat Parade because of a small craft advisory, but may reschedule it at a later date.
The National Weather Service advisory lasts until 10 p.m. Saturday.
Two other boat parades are expected to be held.

The 51st annual Madeira Beach Festival of Lights Illuminated Boat Parade will take place Saturday at 6:30 p.m. This message was posted on the City of Madeira Beach Facebook page:
"Let your friends and neighbors know that the boat parade is still ON! Viewing anywhere on the water as well as at the Madeira Beach Rec Center (200 Rex Place). Bundle up and we will see everyone tonight!!!"

The parade route will launch from John's Pass Village on Madeira Beach and will end at the Madeira Beach Recreation Center, weaving in and out of the different canals and inlets of the town.

Also, the Boca Ciega Yacht Club Boat Parade will go on as scheduled Saturday, according to the organizers' Facebook page.
The 32st Annual Gulfport & Boca Ciega Yacht Club Lighted Christmas Boat Parade will take place Saturday, Dec. 9 at 6 p.m.
The parade begins at the Gulfport Municipal Marina, passing by the BCYC clubhouse before entering the bay. It then travels to Williams pier and the beach, passing by the Gulfport Casino. The parade then travels through the communities of Town Shores, Kipps Colony and the Pasadena Yacht & Country Club, Pasadena Golf Club Estates, Dolphin Boulevard South and Isla del Soul before returning to the BCYC clubhouse.
