ST. PETERSBURG, FL — The St. Petersburg Police Department is asking for help identifying a man officers say was involved in a recent carjacking.
According to the agency, the victim was unloading a 2016 Dodge Charger in the alley in front of his home around 9 p.m. May 21 when two men approached him. One of the men is accused of holding a baton to the victim’s chest and telling him he was being robbed.
“They pushed the victim aside, jumped into the car and took off,” a Wednesday email from the police department said. The stolen car was recovered a short while later near the 1000 block of 112th Circle North.
