St. Pete Man Dies In Northern FL Crash With Semi Truck: Reports
A 25-year-old St. Petersburg man died in a Thursday morning crash with a semi truck in Alachua County, reports said.
HAWTHORNE, FL — A 25-year-old St. Petersburg man died in a Thursday morning crash in northern Florida, according to multiple reports.
Alachua County Fire Rescue and Melrose Fire Department crews responded to an accident with entrapment near Love’s Truck Stop (5615 U.S. Hwy 301) in Hawthorne around 8:30 a.m., the Alachua Chronicle reported.
The man was driving north on Southeast U.S. Highway 301 in the left inside lane when it hit a semi truck that was turning left onto the road, according to WCJB.

The victim’s car crashed into the left rear axle of a trailer being pulled by the truck, reports said.
