FL Man Accused Of Sharing, Accessing Child Porn Images Online
A St. Petersburg man faces multiple charges after being accused of sharing and accessing child porn images online, Pinellas sheriff said.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A St. Petersburg man was arrested for possession and transmission of child pornography, according to a Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office news release.
Detectives with the Crimes Against Children Unit began their investigation after receiving a Jan. 22 tip that child porn was being accessed and shared online.
Investigators eventually identified the suspect as Jacob Buchholz Smith, 32, the sheriff’s office said.

They determined he was sharing and accessing images of children between 5 and 13 years old.
Smith was arrested on Tuesday on 10 counts of possession of child pornography, 10 counts of transmission of child pornography and one count of resisting an officer without violence. He was booked into the Pinellas County Jail.
