St. Pete Rocks Out with Sublime Cover Band, Badfish
On Saturday night at Jannus Live, the beloved Sublime tribute band, Badfish performed for a mass of supporters.
Many Sublime fans were too you to have seen the original threesome in action. Lead singer, Bradley Nowell's untimely death in 1996 left generations of listeners without the opportunity to experience the real deal.
However, since the Nowell's death there has been a remarkable surge of ska fans, especially in St. Pete.
Badfish is the most well known Sublime cover bands in the country. The guys came together in 2001 and formed the (non-cover) band Scotty Don't. Eventually Badfish came to be and the group has been touring and selling out shows ever since.

The group makes an annual visit to the Burg and Saturday's show at Jannus Live was an action-packed arrangement of Sublime favorites. "What I Got" and "Santeria" were two of the well known hits the band covered.
Justice was served to the real Sublime crew through Badfish's performance. Had someone not known, they may have thought Bradley and the boys were back from the 90's.
