St. Pete Woman Wins $500,000 in Scratch-Off Game

A St. Petersburg woman has claimed her $500,000 prize from a MONOPOLY Scratch-Off game at the Florida Lottery headquarters.

Can you imagine winning half a million dollars from a $5 scratch-off game?

Renata Ibrisevic, 30, of St. Petersburg did and she claimed the top prize in the $500,000 MONOPOLY Scratch-Off game Monday, according to the Florida Lottery.

Ibrisevic bought the winning ticket at Mansour Shell at 1002 North Westshore Blvd. in Tampa, according to the press release.

According to the Florida Lottery, for just $5, players have the chance to win up to half a million dollars with the $500,000 MONOPOLY™ Scratch-Off game. The game features more than $71 million in total prizes and offered six top prizes of $500,000, with one top prize remaining. The overall odds of winning are one-in-4.01.

The Florida Lottery offers approximately 60 Scratch-Off games at any given time through vending machines or counter displays at more than 13,000 retailers statewide. Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, making up approximately 58 percent of ticket sales and generating more than $495 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in fiscal year 2011-12, according to the press release.
