Patch: After Bentley's success, why did you decide to open a second shop?
Torrie Tiernan Jasuwan: I really wanted to open a retail store with LA and New York brands, at reasonable prices.
Patch: How is Gold & Maiden different from other stores in the area?
Jasuwan: We only carry two of each item in each size, so girls in the 'burg can have clothes that set them apart from the crowd. They won’t have to deal with chain-store-shopping where they have the same things as everyone else.
Patch: What is Gold & Maiden?
Jasuwan: Gold & Maiden is a hip retail boutique with styles you won't find anywhere else in town, at awesome prices.
Patch: As far as pricing goes, how does Gold & Maiden compare to other boutiques?
Jasuwan: Our prices are extremely reasonable. Most of our dresses are in the $25-$50 range, with a few exceptions. Most accessories are under $25.
Patch: Being a model/actress, do you give advice to customers about fashion?
Jasuwan: Absolutely! Our whole staff has excellent fashion sense and we are always excited to help our customers pick out cute outfits and gifts.
Patch: Why the name "Gold & Maiden"?
Jasuwan: Gold and Maiden are the cross streets of the building I lived in, in New York City.
Patch: What are your business plans for the future?
Jasuwan: Eventually, I would like to open a third store. I plan on integrating new lines such as Line and Dot, Lilly Pulitzer and Mudpie for children and babies early next year.
