Three St. Pete Banks Robbed in 24-Hour Span

Over the past 24 hours, three St. Petersburg banks have been robbed, according to authorities. The latest robbery occurred at 11:09 a.m. at the TD Bank located at 425 22nd Ave. N.

According to St. Petersburg Police, a preliminary description of the suspect in this case is a white man, 30 years old, 6-foot-2 with thin build, close-cut, dirty blonde hair and goatee.

He was last seen wearing a white and gray polo shirt, blue jeans and black shoes, police said.

No weapon was seen, and a note was passed to the teller. The suspect was last seen running north bound from the bank.

Police said no information on a possible suspect vehicle as yet.

According to police, it is not clear at this point if there is any correlation among the three bank robberies from earlier this morning and yesterday afternoon.

The first bank robbery took place around 1:15 p.m. Monday when man walked into the SunTrust Bank at 3601 34th St. N, handed the teller a note and demanded cash.

Tuesday morning, the second bank robbery was reported. This time at another SunTrust Bank at 3100 Central Ave.
