U.S. Postal Worker Stole Credit Card From Mail: U.S. DOJ
A postal worker from St. Pete pleaded guilty to stealing mail, including credit cards, from his route, the U.S. Department of Justice said.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A U.S. postal worker from St. Petersburg pleaded guilty to theft by a postal employee after stealing mail while on the job, according to a U.S. Department of Justice news release.
Jesse L. Anderson, 43, faces a maximum of five years in federal prison. His sentencing date hasn’t been set.
According to Anderson’s plea agreement, in May 2023, the U.S. Postal Service Office of Inspector General received a complaint about stolen mail, which included a credit card and Social Security card, the DOJ said.

The office received another complaint from the same victim about a second credit card missing from the mail in October 2023.
Investigators determined that Anderson used the victim’s credit card after stealing it while on his assigned postal route.
