Watch: Video of Hillary Clinton Rally In St. Petersburg, Florida

The Democratic nominee visited a local brewery, then headed to The Coliseum for an afternoon rally.

Hillary Clinton spoke for a little over a half hour in St. Petersburg, Florida, on Monday, following a week that saw her rocket up in the polls as Donald Trump committed several blunders that proved damaging for his campaign.

The event was held at The Coliseum, an historic ballroom in downtown St. Pete that holds about 2,000 people. Tickets to the event were sold out.

Clinton has favored packing out smaller venues unlike her Republican opponent, who regularly holds events at large stadiums and arenas. Just before her rally, the former secretary of state was scheduled to tour 3 Daughters Brewery as part of her "jobs tour" of Florida.

Coming into Monday, Clinton held a healthy 7-point lead over Trump nationally, according to a RealClearPolitics average of recent national polls. At least two polls conducted last week showed Clinton in double-digit leads over her Republican opponent.

She holds a smaller lead in Florida, which is seen as a must-win state for Trump if he wants to have any shot at winning the presidency in November. The most recent state poll, conducted by Suffolk University, has Clinton up six points. That survey polled 500 registered voters between Aug. 1 and Aug. 3 and had a 4.4-percentage-point margin of error.

Trump's free-fall in the polls coincided with a gaffe-filled week when he extended his feud with the Muslim parents of a fallen American soldier and made claims about a secret video showing Iranians offloading a U.S. money transfer from an unmarked plane that the candidate himself admitted were made up.

Trump was scheduled to make an economic policy speech in Detroit on Monday at noon Eastern. You can watch that live here.
