Woman, 25, Killed In St. Pete Motorcycle Crash

A 25-year-old St. Petersburg woman died following a Thursday night motorcycle crash.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A Thursday night crash that resulted in the death of a 25-year-old St. Petersburg woman is under investigation by authorities.

According to the St. Petersburg Police Department, Celina Soroa, 52, was driving a Ford Focus north in the 600 block of 28th Street South in the median lane around 6:15 p.m. June 8. At that time, Kassidy M. Titara was riding a 2007 Suzuki south on 28th Street South, nearing Sixth Avenue South.

Police say Soroa did not see Titara and made a westbound turn into her path. The motorcycle struck the passenger’s side of the Ford, throwing Titara from her bike.

Titara was taken to a local hospital for treatment, but was pronounced dead at 7 p.m., a Friday morning email from the police department said.
