Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida’s hosted its highly anticipated S.M.A.R.T. Cookie event at Palm Beach State College’s Boca campus, igniting excitement and empowerment among Daisy, Brownie and Junior Girl Scouts as they prepare for the 2026 Girl Scout Cookie Program.

The day began with a high-energy pep rally that set the tone for a fun and inspiring day of learning. More than 300 Girl Scouts and adults attended the event, diving into interactive badge-earning homerooms focused on developing entrepreneurial and leadership skills. Troop leaders participated in advanced sessions on planning, management and cookie sale logistics, while family members attended informative workshops filled with insights on how they can support their cookie-selling Girl Scouts.

S.M.A.R.T. Cookie, which stands for Savvy, Motivated, Artistic, Responsible and Technical, is designed to build financial literacy, strengthen goal-setting skills and boost overall cookie-selling expertise. Girl Scouts who participate in this program consistently demonstrate outstanding results: troops who have attended S.M.A.R.T. Cookie earned 54% more cookie proceeds on average ($4,946 vs. $2,271), with girls selling an average of 521 boxes each, compared to 309 for those who do not attend.

When girls participate in the Girl Scout Cookie Program, the largest entrepreneurial program for girls in the world, they learn essential business and leadership skills, including goal setting, money management, decision-making, people skills and business ethics. Each box of cookies sold not only helps to support girls’ ambitions but also strengthens their courage, confidence and character as they take on new challenges and embrace life-changing experiences.

“This event captures the spirit of what it means to be a Girl Scout, confident, creative and ready to take on the world,” said Lisa Johnson, CEO of Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida. “Through S.M.A.R.T Cookie, our girls learn the skills that will help them not only sell cookies, but will also lead them in their schools, communities and their future.”
