First up is foreclosure (palmbeachpost.com) — A La Quinta Inn near Florida’s Turnpike in suburban West Palm Beach is now facing foreclosure after Palm Beach County abandoned plans to convert it into housing for low-income seniors. County officials walked away from the $17 million deal after inspectors found severe water damage, leaks, and mildew, raising questions about missed due diligence and what will ultimately happen to this prominent property.
   

• West Palm Beach woman charged with stalking after eviction (wpbf.com) — West Palm Beach police say a months-long investigation led to the arrest of a 51-year-old woman accused of repeatedly sending violent, threatening and hate-filled messages to her former apartment complex’s management after being evicted. According to the report, the harassment allegedly escalated over several months, leaving the property manager fearful, and a judge has ordered the suspect held in Palm Beach County Jail with no contact allowed.
