Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida invites the community to experience the beauty and excitement of the great outdoors during the highly anticipated We Heart Welaka family event on Sunday, December 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 10205 Southeast Girl Scout Camp Road in South Tequesta. This beloved annual celebration focuses on friendship, adventure and outdoor exploration at one of the Girl Scout council’s most cherished campsites.

Nestled within Jonathan Dickinson State Park, Camp Welaka is nature’s ultimate learning platform, offering the perfect setting to reconnect with the outdoors. Attendees can choose their own adventure with a full day of hands-on activities designed to ignite curiosity, confidence and creativity. Activities include archery, canoeing, hiking, fishing and more. STEM and environmental stewardship are in action for guests while they enjoy the great outdoors with relatives and friends.

This year’s event features exciting highlights, including the opportunity to try the brand-new archery range for the first time (ages 8+) and a special animal encounter featuring the incredible animal ambassadors from Busch Wildlife Sanctuary.
