A group of young Acworth residents will be taking an educational trip up to Boston early next year thanks to a private donor and the approval of the Acworth Board of Aldermen.The Expanding Horizons trip, paid for in full by an anonymous benefactor, was given <a href="http://www.ajc.com/news/news/local/acworth-aldermen-approve-boston-trip-for-teens/nnsph/?ecmp=ajc_social_twitter_2014_cobb_sfp" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">5-0 approval</a> during the board's Thursday meeting. Each of the students participating in the event are participating in a mentoring and tutoring program at the city's Roberts School, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.The trip will last between five and six days and costs nearly $18,000, the AJC says.
