Cobb Schools Foundation, Atlanta Braves Foundation Partnership to Benefit Educators

The Cobb Schools Foundation (CSF) announces a new partnership with the Atlanta Braves Foundation to help fund the 2016 Teacher IMPACT Grants benefiting educators in the Cobb County School District.

The partnership will allow CSF to increase the number of grants awarded this year to support innovative and creative ideas in teaching and learning. Last year, in 2015, the non-profit awarded 22 IMPACT Grants totaling $23,750 to Cobb school district educators.

"We at the Cobb Schools Foundation are constantly striving to engage our business leaders in the Cobb community to help support and advance education programs for Cobb County Schools. We are very excited that the Atlanta Braves are investing in our teachers through the CSF Teacher Impact Grant program and look forward to a long and successful partnership with the Braves," said Greg Talsky, president of the Cobb Schools Foundation.

The grants will help provide start-up funds, help enable collaboration, recognize creativity and give teachers the chance to offer real-life learning experiences. Those eligible for the financial awards include individual teachers, teacher teams, specialists or schools who can use the money to implement educational programs and initiatives that would otherwise go unfunded.

The Cobb Schools Foundation IMPACT Grants are awarded annually.

Since 2005, the Cobb Schools Foundation has awarded more than $200,000 in grants to teachers in the Cobb County School District. These grants are made possible by business partnerships, such as with the Atlanta Braves Foundation, and through fundraising efforts, including the Annual Gimme 5 for Educationcampaign, the Cobb Homecoming Classic Golf Tournament, the Leaders & Legends Ball and more!
