Man Killed in Head-On Collision
Both the dead driver and the injured driver of the other vehicle are from Acworth.

It is not know whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the fatal crash, Cobb County police said in a news release this morning.
The driver of the green 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier was Mitchell Davis, 32, of Acworth, police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce said.
He was driving north on Cheatham Road about 6:15 p.m. when he crossed the double-yellow line and crashed into a black 2003 Toyota 4Runner driven by Rebecca Simonski, 41, of Acworth.

Davis was dead at the scene. Simonski’s injuries are not life-threatening, Pierce said.
The police Selective Traffic Enforcement Program unit is investigating the crash. Anyone with information is asked to call 770-499-3987.

A drunken driver was killed in a head-on collision outside Acworth late Friday night, told WSB-TV.
The wreck occurred at the intersection of Cheatham and Pitner roads when a Chevrolet Cavalier crossed the center line and slammed into a sport-utility vehicle, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
