1 Dead, 5 Injured In Atlanta Shooting

Police say shooting victims were found at three separate locations in Atlanta, including during a traffic stop.

ATLANTA, GA — An Oak Drive Southeast shooting killed an 18-year-old man and injured five people Thursday night, Atlanta Police said.

Officers first responded around 9:45 p.m. to the 240 block of Oak Drive, where they found the man dead at the scene and a 21-year-old woman injured in the shoulder from a shooting, police said. The woman was then taken to a hospital in stable condition, police said.

Simultaneously, officers were dispatched to the 50 block of Mt. Zion Road Southwest, where police said they found three more people who had been shot. They were taken to a hospital in critical condition, police said.

Officers were conducting an investigation when they performed a traffic stop in the area of Old Hapeville Road Southwest and Cleveland Avenue Southwest, where police said they found a backseat passenger with a gunshot injury to the leg.

Police said all of the victims were shot in the 270 block of Oak. A motive in the shooting was not revealed, and police did not identify any suspects.
