10 GA Hospitals Among Best In The World, New Ranking Says
One health-care system dominated Newsweek's list of best hospitals in Georgia and the world. See which one.

GEORGIA — Ten hospitals in Georgia are among the best in the nation, with one of them being among the greatest in the world, according to a new analysis that ranks the top hospitals in 30 countries.
The 2025 World’s Best Hospitals ranking from Newsweek and its data partner Statista narrows down hundreds of thousands of hospitals worldwide to the 250 best.
Emory University Hospital in Atlanta is the 141st best hospital in the world, according to Newsweek. The health-care system boasted multiple sites on the nationwide list.

Georgia hospitals in the 2025 U.S. ranking are:
- No. 26: Emory University Hospital, Atlanta
- No. 115: Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Atlanta
- No. 194: Emory Johns Creek Hospital, Johns Creek
- No. 245: Emory University Hospital, Midtown
- No. 272: Northside Hospital Forsyth, Cumming
- No. 304: Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center, Athens
- No. 338: Wellstar Paulding Medical Center, Hiram
- No. 354: Fairview Park Hospital, Dublin
- No. 399: Northside Hospital, Atlanta
- No. 405: Piedmont Atlanta Hospital, Atlanta
Hospitals were scored based on an online survey of about 85,000 medical experts and publicly available data from post-hospitalization patient surveys on their general satisfaction, Newsweek said.

Hygiene and patient/doctor ratios were also considered, along with a Statista survey on whether hospitals use “Patient Reported Outcome Measures,” which are surveys filled out by patients about their experience.
The top 10 hospitals in the world included four U.S. hospitals:
- No. 1: Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota
- No. 2: Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio
- No. 3: Toronto General - University Health Network, Toronto, Canada
- No. 4: The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland
- No. 5: Karolinska Universitetssjukhuset, Stockholm, Sweden
- No. 6: Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts
- No. 7: Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Berlin, Germany
- No. 8: Sheba Medical Center, Ramat Gan, Israel
- No. 9: Singapore General Hospital (SGH), Singapore
- No. 10: Universitätsspital Zürich, Zürich, Switzerland
U.S. hospitals in the top 25 worldwide included:
- No. 13: Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles
- No. 17: Stanford Health Care - Stanford Hospital, Stanford, Connecticut
- No. 19: The Mount Sinai Hospital, New York City
- No. 21: Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston
Along with U.S. hospitals, the ranking includes hospitals from Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom.
