13-Year-Old Girl Who Fired Gun At Man Shot By Deputy: GBI

According to the GBI, the girl was taken to an Atlanta hospital for her injuries. A Marietta man is also recovering from the shooting.

GEORGIA — A 13-year-old girl who shot a man during a heated child custody exchange is at an Atlanta-area hospital recovering from her injuries, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said.

A deputy shot the girl after she began shooting at Vincent Emanuel Frasca, 38, of Marietta, in turn, striking him, authorities said. The relationship between the girl and Frasca was not immediately known.

According to the GBI, Frasca called the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday to request law enforcement assistance with a custody exchange dispute involving a 3-year-old on Carnoustie Way in Fayetteville.

At 8:52 p.m., authorities said a Fayette County deputy arrived at the entrance to the gated community where he met with Frasca. After speaking with Frasca, the deputy followed Frasca to the home. Frasca parked in the driveway in front of the home and walked to the bottom of the front porch steps where he stood.

As the deputy was walking up the driveway toward Frasca, the GBI said the 13-year-old girl came out of the home onto the front porch with a handgun and began shooting multiple times toward Frasca, ultimately hitting him.
