14-Year-Old Crashes Car Into GA Home, Woman Dead, 2 Men Injured
A 14-year-old boy crashed a car into a family's home during a 130 mph police chase, according to the Coweta Sheriff's Office.

COWETA COUNTY, GA — A Coweta County woman has died and two men were injured after a car driven by a 14-year-old boy crashed into their home, the Coweta Sheriff’s Office said Thursday.
The teen driver was going over 130 mph and the deputy lost track of the car, the sheriff’s office said. The deputy was told by a neighbor that the boy had crashed the car into a nearby home on Johnson Road.
The chase started around 2 a.m. in the area of Highway 54 when a deputy noticed a vehicle that failed to dim its headlights, the sheriff’s office said. When the deputy initiated the traffic stop, the driver sped off, going over 130
miles per hour.

The teenager was not injured and was taken to a youth detention center, according to deputies.
According to WSB-TV, the family has identified Annette Carmichael-Rush as the woman killed in the crash. She was asleep in a bedroom. The two men were her husband and their 28-year-old son. Both had minor injuries.

The Coweta County Sheriff's Office will handle the traffic offenses and the Georgia State Patrol will handle the charge of homicide by vehicle, the sheriff's office said.
