2 Crime Scenes, 2 Atlanta Men Shot In Leg Early Monday
Police say one man shot apparently being robbed, while another was shot in apparent theft attempt.
ATLANTA — Police are investigating a pair of early morning robberies from Monday.
In the first one police were called to the 800 block of Peachtree Street in Midtown around 12:15 a.m., Monday. Officers discovered a man with a gunshot wound to his leg who was otherwise alert, according to police.
The man was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for his injuries.

Investigators determined that a man approached the victim’s vehicle as he was leaving the parking garage and demanded the victim’s phone. When the victim refused to give up his phone, the gunman fired at the man in the vehicle. Police are trying to determine the circumstances around the shooting and continue to investigate.
In the second shooting, officers were called to a gas station and convenience store at 3843 Jonesboro Road just before 2 a.m., on Monday. There another man was found shot in the leg, police said. He was taken to the hospital for his wound.

Police said the man was shot after trying to leave the convenience store without paying for an item.
