Highway Shooting On I-75 Leaves 4 Injured Over Weekend: Police

Police are looking for a shooter who opened fire on three vehicles on I-75 in Atlanta early Saturday morning.

ATLANTA, GA – Four people were shot early Saturday morning as they were traveling along I-75 in Atlanta, police said.

Atlanta Police say an altercation with a man and two women led to the shootout near the junction of I-75 and Arthur Langford Jr. Parkway before 1 a.m. on March 5. Someone pulled alongside the Lamborghini the trio were traveling in and opened fire, police said. All three people in the Lamborghini were injured and drove themselves to a nearby hospital.

Police said more people were hit by the gunfire that appeared to be intended only for the Lamborghini.

Around 12:40 a.m., a woman who was driving her pick-up truck in the same area called Atlanta Police to report that she had been shot by a vehicle speeding by as she drove along the same route as the Lamborghini, police said. Officers arrived to find the woman with a gunshot wound and damage to her truck, according to police reports. She was also taken to an area hospital to be treated for her injuries.

A fifth victim called the emergency 9-1-1 line to report that he had been shot at around the same time and in the same area as the Lamborghini and the woman in the pick-up, although he was not injured, police said

No description of the shooter's vehicle was available. Investigators are still looking for the shooter.
