A Georgia police officer continued to receive care in a private facility Monday, days after she was charged with lying about being shot while on duty. 5-Year-Old Gwinnett Girl Dies in Pool Drowning

A 5-year-old Gwinnett County girl died last weekend after drowning in a swimming pool. At about 7 p.m. Saturday, Gwinnett County police and firefighters were called to the incident location. The girl had been pulled out of the swimming pool and was not responsive, Gwinnett County Police Department spokesman Cpl. Deon Washington said Sunday. >>> Read more.

Buckhead Executive Accidentally Shot By Husband: Report

A spokesman for the Atlanta lawyer whose wife was shot and killed earlier this week says Claud "Tex" McIver accidentally shot Diane McIver because he was worried about carjackers. The Fulton Report quoted Bill Crane, who is acting as a spokesman for Claud McIver. Crane said McIver pulled the gun in fear of carjackers when the gun accidentally went off and shot Diane McIver, who was sitting in the front seat of the SUV. >>> Read more.
