- A U.S. marshal was shot on Sunday in a mobile home park in Peachtree City, an Atlanta suburb. The officer was shot while trying to arrest a 19-year-old murder suspect. The officer was taken to an Atlanta hospital and is doing well. (Opelika Auburn News)
- Police say eight people were wounded early yesterday morning in a drive-by shooting on Northside Drive. The shooting happened at a gas station next to The Diamond Club, an adult venue. (11Alive.com WXIA)
- A reproductive rights rally took place on Saturday afternoon to voice frustrations over the Supreme Court's ruling overturning Roe v. Wade. Georgia NAACP, along with local organizations and activists, marched from the Cosmopolitan AME Church to the Georgia state capitol. (CBS 46 News)
- The Atlanta Police Department is alerting residents after multiple vehicle thefts and car break-ins have occurred recently. Police have arrested a few teenagers in unrelated incidents. (WSBTV)
- Atlanta-based CDC reports there are 16,836 probable or confirmed cases of monkeypox in the United States. As cases rise in Georgia, doctors say there are not enough vaccines for everyone who is eligible. (CBS 46 News)
