'Ant-Man' Casting Schoolchildren In Atlanta

Producers are looking to cast Atlanta schoolchildren in Marvel's latest movie production, "Ant-Man & The Wasp."

ATLANTA, GA -- You know those clothes you just bought for your child during that back-to-school sale? Well, not only will you get the satisfaction of seeing Tommy or Ashley where them during the school year, but they just may make it to the big screen.

Marvel is casting Atlanta-area schoolchildren for an upcoming scene in its newest superhero production, "Ant-Man & The Wasp." Paul Rudd, who flourished in 2015's title role and in limited action in "Captain America: Civil War," will resume his role as Ant-Man in this sequel. He will be joined by Evangeline Lilly, who will play the Wasp. The movie will also star Michael Douglas as Hank Pym and Hannah John-Kamen, Michael Peña, and more.

Marvel will be filming the schoolchildren's scene on Saturday, August 5 and Monday, August 7 in Atlanta, according to a casting call. The kids must be available both days. Here is what producers are looking for:

School Kids- Now casting Asian-looking children, who are ages 9 and 10 yrs old, to portray students in class.
Due to Federal Labor laws, it is required that all children can provide a photo ID, such as passport, passport card, state issued ID card, current school ID with a photo, etc.
Submit an email to CHERRYBLUE@centralcasting.com and include the child’s name, parent’s name, parent’s contact phone number, RECENT child’s picture, height/weight/clothing sizes, and location. Put “SCHOOL KIDS” in the subject line.

Atlanta has become a movie mecca in recent years and Georgia has been a favorite location for TV productions since the state instituted generous tax breaks for film companies that agree to shoot locally. Projects from CBS, NBC, HBO, BET and more are slated to shoot in the metro area in 2017.
